Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh‘s concert on May 5 at Frost Amphitheater featuring an intriguing Phil Lesh & Friends lineup has been called off. The show originally slated to be held at the recently renovated Bay Area venue has been canceled “due to unforeseen circumstances,” as per a note on the bassist’s Instagram page.
Phil was supposed to be joined by guitarists Marcus King and Grahame Lesh, multi-instrumentalist Jason Crosby, drummer Tony Leone and Trey Anastasio Band horn section consisting of trumpeter/vocalist Jennifer Hartswick, trombonist/vocalist Natalie Cressman and saxophonist/vocalist James Casey at the Frost. The 8,000-capacity venue is situated on the campus of Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
