Watch Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country Perform Rollicking ‘Mystery Train’ In Albany

39

Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country shared video of the blues/rock classic “Mystery Train.” The footage is from the guitarist and his band’s March 9 concert at Lark Hall in Albany, New York.

Blues great Junior Parker released “Mystery Train” in 1953. It was later famously covered by Elvis Presley and was also a favorite of the Jerry Garcia Band. Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country — guitarist Daniel Donato, keyboardist Nathan “Sugar Leg” Aronowitz, bassist Will “Mustang” McGee and drummer Noah Winner Miller — brought the tune to their Albany debut last month.

“Albany is home to some of the original frequencies and energies that has kept this kind of music alive,” the band wrote on YouTube, “This was Cosmic Country’s first time playing there and the show was absolutely exceptional; this highlight of Mystery Train was worth bringing to life in video.
