Watch Reggae Legend Clinton Fearon Perform ‘Live On KEXP’

65

Reggae legend Clinton Fearon recently performed Live On KEXP. The part-time Seattle resident offered songs from his 2022 album, Breaking News, and more for the Emerald City independent radio station.

Fearon came to prominence at the dawn of reggae in the late 1960s with Kingston, Jamaica’s The Gladiators. After nearly 20 years with that group, Clinton settled in Seattle and formed The Boogie Brown Band as a conduit for his solo material and found success with his solo debut album, Disturb The Devil.

Guitarist Clinton Fearon and his band — bassist Daniel Miller, drummer Daniel Weiss, guitarist Andy Coe, keyboardist Noah Woycke and trombonist Nelson Bell — opened their Live On KEXP session with “Trod On” and “I Wanna Dance,” both appearing on Fearon’s 2022 album, Breaking News. Fearon also offered “Rock Your Bones” from his 1999 album What A System and closed out the sessions with the title track from his 2006 LP, Vision.
