Rock and roll legends Aerosmith will say Peace Out after an illustrious 50-year career with one final farewell tour with special guests The Black Crowes.
“It’s not goodbye it’s PEACE OUT! Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives,” the band said in a joint statement.
The 40-show tour will kick off in Philadelphia, PA on September 2nd and will include stops at iconic arenas across the U.S. and Canada, such as Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, New York’s Madison Square Garden, Austin’s Moody Center, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, Chicago’s United Center, Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, and more. The tour will feature a special hometown show is scheduled for New Year’s Eve 2023 in Boston and wrap up in Montreal, QC at Bell Centre on January 26th, 2024.
The tour will feature THX Certified Live! high-fidelity experience on the road, with leading-edge technology specially calibrated for each venue to ensure the best possible live listening experience.
Along with the announcement, Aerosmith shared that drummer Joey Kramer, who sat out the band’s 2022 Las Vegas residency, will not join the band on tour: “While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health. Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed,” the band said.
Tickets for the Aerosmith Peace Out farewell tour will go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 5th at 10 a.m. local time. A variety of different VIP packages and experiences will be available, including a premium reserved ticket, a personal photo opportunity with band members, limited edition merchandise, and more. Aerosmith recently wrapped up its critically acclaimed Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. Ahead of the residency, Aerosmith performed a record-breaking one-off show at Fenway Park in Boston as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations, with over 38,700 people in attendance—the most tickets ever sold for a show at the venue.
