ALO celebrates 25 years as a band in 2023 and promised more tour dates were in the works. The quartet came through by announcing their first East Coast headlining performances in nearly five years as part of their Silver Saturdays Summer Tour.
The trek takes its name from ALO’s ninth studio album. The band — guitarist/vocalist Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, keyboardist/vocalist Zach Gill, bassist Steve Adams and drummer Ezra Lipp — released Silver Saturdays through Brushfire Records on March 3.
ALO will go coast-to-coast this August starting with a series of home-state performances in California. Up first is a stop in Carmel-by-the-Sea on August 3 followed by two nights in Orinda on August 5 and 6 as well as a concert in Olympic Valley on August 12.
The East Coast swing begins at the famed Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, New York on August 15. ALO then hits Fairfield (Connecticut) on August 16, Brooklyn on August 17 and Harrisburg (Pennsylvania) on August 18. Honey Island Swamp Band co-headlines in Brooklyn. Details of a show on August 19 are to be announced.
