52

Guitarists Bill MacKay and Ryley Walker will join forces for three concerts this July. The shows in Chicago and Brooklyn mark the pair’s first duo performances since 2018.

Mackay and Walker will start their reunion in Chicago with shows at Judson & Moore on July 27 and 28. Jake Acosta kicks off the action on the 28th with the opener for the 27th to be announced. Bill and Ryley also confirmed a performance at Brooklyn’s Union Pool on July 30 featuring Wendy Eisenberg as support.

Bill MacKay and Ryley Walker met at a friend’s birthday party in January of 2014 and instantly bonded. The pair began meeting to write and jam together. One year later, MacKay and Walker played a weekly residency in January of 2015 at The Whistler in Chicago. The August 2015 album Land Of Plenty documented the residency and then the duo put out the collaborative studio album SpiderBeetleBee in 2017.

Tickets for all three shows are on sale now.
