As reported, Bonnaroo organizers tapped Cory Wong to host and curate this year’s Superjam. An array of all-star guests have been confirmed to participate in Cory Wong’s Syncopated Superjam at The Bonnaroo Farm in Manchester, Tennessee on Saturday, June 17.
While it was previously announced Wong’s 12-piece solo ensemble will be the house band for the Superjam, the session will also feature appearances from two other bands the guitarist is a member of — Vulfpeck and The Fearless Flyers. Vulfpeck plays a set of their own at Bonnaroo on Friday, June 16.
Victor Wooten, Remi Wolf, Hanson, Jake Luppen (Hippo Campus) and Big Wild will also make guest appearances. Additional special guests set to take part in the Superjam include Sammy Rae, Danielle Ponder, Robbie Wulfsohn (Ripe), Sierra Hull, Devon Gilfillian, Cody Fry and more. Most of those announced have either toured with or recorded with Wong in the past.
“I’ve held a few tricks up my sleeve over the past few years, and I’m happy that they get to come out in full force for this Superjam,” Wong said as part of a statement when the Superjam was announced. “The song list is already shaping up to be insane. My full 12-piece band will be there along with me and we’re working out new arrangements for all of the material that night.”
