Drive-By Truckers frontman Patterson Hood contributed to the song “All I Needed” on American Aquarium’s 2022 album, Chicamacomico. The musicians will come together again in September and October for a run of 2023 Fall Tour dates.

“Today, we get the thrill of announcing our fall tour with American Aquarium (on sale May 5, 10 a.m. local time),” Hood wrote. “It’s been years since we last played with them (Raleigh, perhaps 15 years ago) and they’ve grown to become one of the most beloved bands in the land … These will be super fun shows and we’ll be hitting some towns we haven’t been to or haven’t played in a long time.”

DBT and American Aquarium will begin their joint tour in Omaha on September 14. The two bands head to Burnsville, Minnesota on September 15 and then on to Bloomington, Illinois on September 16. The Jayhawks join the lineup for a show on September 17 in Chicago.

The tour continues in Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 19, in Warren, Ohio on September 21, in Maryville, Tennessee on September 22 and in Covington, Kentucky on September 23. Drive-By Truckers and American Aquarium head up to New York for engagements in Rochester on September 26 and in Huntington on September 27. The month wraps with a stop in Charlottesville, Virginia on September 30.

The tour concludes with visits to Morgantown, West Virginia on October 1; Chattanooga, Tennessee on October 3; Charleston, South Carolina on October 4; and Wilmington, North Carolina on October 5. Drive-By Truckers will also perform in Memphis on October 7. Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 5 at 10 a.m. local venue time. Find ticketing links and the full Drive-By Truckers tour schedule below:
