Graham Nash shared an animated video for his new single, “A Better Life.” The track will appear on the legendary singer-songwriter’s new album, Now, arriving this Friday, May 19 via BMG.
Now marks Nash’s first studio album in seven years 2016’s This Path Tonight. Graham produced Now with his longtime touring keyboardist Todd Caldwell.
“I believe that my new album Now is the most personal one I have ever made,” Nash said of his new record. “At this point in my life, that’s something to say.”
Nash previewed Now with the single “Right Now” in February and now follows with “A Better Life.” Many of Graham’s most famous songs like “Teach Your Children” and “Chicago/We Can Change the World” were written at times when outlooks were bleak but saw Nash not only envisioning a brighter future but also offering plans to achieve that goal. “A Better Life” is one of those songs and works in tandem in that endeavor with its music video.
The single arrived with an animated visual by Jeff Scher who aimed “to evoke a mid-century Technicolor cartoon look and a sense of mid-century optimism.” Watch below:
