Maygen & The Birdwatcher Announce 2023 Out Of The Garden Tour

24

Minneapolis Americana-folk-rock sextet Maygen & The Birdwatcher announced their 2023 Out of the Garden Tour in support of their EP, Bootleggin’ At The Flower Shoppe. The tour takes its name from the Bootleggin’ track “Out of the Garden.”

Maygen & The Birdwatcher were recently named Americana Artist of the Year and Bootleggin’ At The Flower Shoppe won Album of the Year at the Midwest Country Music Organization’s annual awards show in Arnolds Park, Iowa. Led by Maygen Lacey and fellow guitarist-singer Noah Neumann, Maygen & the Birdwatcher conceived of 2022’s Bootleggin’ At The Flower Shoppe as a companion piece to their 2021 debut album Moonshine, which also garnered nominations from Midwest Country Music.

Along with Lacey and Neumann, multi-instrumentalist Nik Pellinen, bassist Ethan Moravec, mandolinist-fiddler Jesse Moravec and drummer Peter Anderson round out the rest of the band’s lineup. Written around the same time as the material for Moonshine, the band recorded Bootleggin’ At The Flower Shoppe at Minneapolis’ Flowers Studio.

The Out of the Garden Tour will see Maygen & The Birdwatcher performing across their home state of Minnesota, as well as neighboring states Wisconsin and South Dakota. The tour will also see the band heading out to Colorado and Nebraska in July. Maygen & The Birdwatchers will perform at the Minnesota Bluegrass August Festival and they will also appear at the Minnesota State Fair in September.
