Neighbor Releases Galloping New Single ‘Lonely Rider’

Neighbor continues to preview their self-titled debut studio album by unveiling “Lonely Rider” from the 12-track LP. The Boston-based jam quartet will release Neighbor on May 19 via Ineffable Records.

The band consisting of keyboardist Richard James, drummer Dean Johnston, bassist Dan Kelly and guitarist Lyle Brewer co-produced Neighbor with Matt Wayne. Paul Q Kolderie (The Pixies, Radiohead) mixed the LP, which was recorded at Ghost Hit Recording in Springfield, Massachusetts. Additional sessions were held at Dimension Sound in their hometown of Boston.

“Lonely Rider” comes on the heels of previously shared Neighbor tracks “Take Me Alive” and “Isla.” The song was penned by and features Richard James on lead vocals. Neighbor debuted “Lonely Rider” live on July 23, 2019 at the now shuttered Thunder Road in Somerville, Massachusetts. One of the earliest originals in the four-piece’s repertoire has since been played 69 times including a performance last Friday night at Cervantes’ in Denver.
