‘Peace Out’: Aerosmith Announces Farewell Tour With Special Guests The Black Crowes

28

Legendary rockers Aerosmith will say goodbye to the road with a 40-date tour of North America. Aerosmith’s “Peace Out” farewell tour will feature The Black Crowes as support at each stop.

The extensive trek kicks off in Philadelphia on September 2 and visits arenas across the U.S. and Canada through January 26. Pittsburgh, Toronto, Chicago, Cleveland, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Indianapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City and Los Angeles are among the cities Aerosmith will hit this fall. The band will celebrate New Year’s Eve with a hometown concert at Boston’s TD Garden.

“Peace Out” resumes for one final leg starting in Cincinnati on January 4. Stops in Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville, Buffalo, New York City, and Columbus come before the tour ends in Montreal on January 26.

General on-sales are slated for Friday, May 5 at 10 a.m. local time. Purchase Aerosmith tickets via Ticketmaster.com.

Aerosmith released their self-titled debut album in 1973. The band will be celebrating their 50th anniversary over the course of the run. “It’s not goodbye it’s PEACE OUT! Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives,” wrote the band in a statement.

Drummer Joey Kramer will not take part in Aerosmith’s final tour. ‘“While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health,” added Aerosmith. “Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed.” John Douglas has been filling in for Kramer.
