Terrapin Crossroads unveiled the inaugural lineup for its Sunday Daydream event. The Terrapin All Stars along with Eric Krasno & Friends are set to perform at McNears Beach Park in San Rafael, California on July 9.
The Terrapin All-Stars are Amy Helm, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Grahame Lesh, Jason Crosby, John Molo and Stu Allen. The one-day event will also feature Alex Koford, Connor O’Sullivan, Elliott Peck, Greg Loiacono, Nathan Graham, Scott Guberman, Scott Law and more “very special guests!” as per a press release.
While Terrapin Crossroads — the music venue and restaurant owned by Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh and his wife, Jill — closed in 2021, the TXR camp recently announced that events like Sunday Daydream are still very much a Lesh family affair. Some people have asked, did Phil and Jill sell Terrapin? Who exactly is behind this shindig? While Phil and Jill are happily retired from their days of managing Terrapin, Sunday Daydream is still very much a family business. We are the next generation of the Lesh family: Brian and Grahame (who you might know from their many nights on the TXR stage), and their wives Mari and Claire. And of course you’ll see many other familiar faces at the events! Terrapin has been a huge part of our lives, and we are working hard to make this next chapter just as weird and wonderful. Can’t wait to have you along for the ride!
Getting the Sunday Daydream festivities underway is the Turtle Trot, a 5k, 10k and Kids Run around McNears Park. Runners will be greeted with live music at the finish line from The Turttle Trotters and receive a finisher’s medal and exclusive race shirt.
