The National will resurrect their Homecoming Festival for the first time since 2018 when it returns to the band’s hometown of Cincinnati on September 15 and 16. Joining the Cincy-native group on the 2023 lineup will be Pavement and Patti Smith.
The National will perform different headlining sets to close out programming on both days of the fest being held at ICON Festival Stage at Smale Park. The Friday, September 15 lineup includes Patti Smith and Her Band, The Walkmen, Arooj Aftab, Bartees Strange, Carriers and Ballard. The Saturday, September 16 Homecoming lineup includes Pavement, Weyes Blood, Snail Mail, Julia Jacklin, The Drin and Leo Pastel.
“When we launched Homecoming in 2018, we were overwhelmed by the response from the community and by our renewed sense of connection to our hometown,” The National stated. “It was such an exciting, memorable weekend and we’ve long hoped to bring it back. We’re honored to return to Cincinnati five years later and be joined by so many of our favorite musicians and friends.”
