Last fall Broken Social Scene commemorated the 20th anniversary of their debut album You Forgot It In People by embarking on a North American tour. The Canadian collective will wrap the celebration this fall with tour dates across the U.S. including stops in cities they didn’t visit on the initial run.
“20 years ago we released You Forgot It In People, an album that changed our lives, and maybe yours, too,” wrote BSS last year in announcing the celebratory trek. “To celebrate, we’re heading out on tour to play tracks from that album and more of your favourites.” As Brooklyn Vegan pointed out, the LP didn’t come out in the U.S. until 2003, so it actually still is the 20th anniversary of You Forgot It In People in America.
