After Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening finishes duties supporting Gov’t Mule during the bulk of their Dark Side Of The Mule Summer Tour, the Zeppelin tribute act will embark on a headlining run of their own. The group led by Jason Bonham, the son of late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, will focus on the Midwest in August and West Coast in September.
Each night is expected to feature cuts from the albums Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II, Led Zeppelin IV and Physical Graffiti. The drummer formed the group in 2009 as Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience and later changed the name to comply with a request from the Led Zeppelin camp.
Three nights after their last Dark Side Of The Mule Summer Tour appearance, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening starts their headlining trek at Richmond’s Carpenter Center for the Performing Arts on August 23. Bonham and his bandmates then head to the Midwest for shows in Northfield (Ohio), Peoria (Illinois), Milwaukee and Evansville (Indiana) before ending the month in Shreveport on August 31. Next up is a concert in Mobile, Alabama on September 1 to conclude the first leg.
Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening follows three weeks off by launching the West Coast jaunt in Lincoln, California on September 22. Additional California stops are slated for Los Angeles on September 23, Paso Robles on September 24, San Diego on September 26, San Jose on September 28 and Indio on September 29. The tour is currently set to end in Henderson, Nevada on September 30.
