Bassist Karina Rykman announced her largest headlining tour yet around her Trey Anastasio-co-produced debut album Joyride, which arrives on August 18. The trek gets underway on September 20 in Rykman’s native New York City.
Following the tour kickoff at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, support group Guerilla Toss will jump on the tour with Karina in Asbury Park, New Jersey on September 21. The bands will continue south with stops in Baltimore, Richmond (Virginia), Raleigh (North Carolina), Asheville (North Carolina), Charleston (South Carolina) and Atlanta. The eastern leg of the tour wraps up on September 30 at Third Man Records’ Blue Room in Nashville.
Rykman begins a West Coast swing in San Diego on October 27. Shows in Los Angeles and San Francisco will close out Karina’s October. November 1 will see the bassist in Cave Junction, Oregon followed by additional Oregon concerts in Bend and Portland. The West Coast leg concludes in Seattle on November 4.
Guerilla Toss will depart the tour as Rykman returns to New York for a concert in Saratoga Springs on November 30. A two-night stand at Nectar’s in Burlington, Vermont follows ahead of a show in Portland, Maine. December 14 will see Karina in Washington D.C. before heading to Philly. The tour comes to a close in Boston on December 16.
