Mandolinist Sierra Hull paid a visit to Nashville on Thursday to celebrate bluegrass nights at the hallowed Ryman Auditorium, where she welcomed surprise special guests Billy Strings and Béla Fleck.

Hull opened the show at the Mother Church of Country Music with her band before inviting her husband Justin Moses to sit in on a few tunes including the mandolin duet “Fooling Around”. Then, following covers of Del McCoury‘s “I Feel the Blues Moving In” and the Grateful Dead‘s “Black Muddy River”, Hull delighted fans by welcoming Béla Fleck to the stage for tunes including Béla Fleck and the Flecktones‘ “Stomping Grounds”.

As if that wasn’t excitement enough, Hull then introduced Billy Strings, who just wrapped up the first leg of an extensive arena tour, to the stage to join her, Fleck, and Moses for “Blues Stay Away From Me” by the Delmore Brothers, “Old Dangerfield” by Bill Monroe, and “People Get Ready” by The Impressions. Hull then capped the set off with “Lord, That’s a Long Long Way” before returning to the stage with Billy Strings for a duet on the traditional “What Does the Deep Sea Say”. Fleck and Moses then joined the duo along with East Nash Grass to end the night with “Rawhide”.
