The Soul Rebels confirmed details of their 2023 U.S. Summer Tour dates. The New Orleans-based brass band will start the lengthy trek this weekend out west and will mix headlining shows and festival appearances nationwide before settling in for a September residency in New York City to close the run.
Hot on the heels of premiering the supergroup Wu Tang Clan with The Soul Rebels at Jazz Fest in their hometown last month, the eight-piece joins fellow NOLA superstar Big Freedia at the Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival in Los Angeles this Sunday, June 18. A trip to the Pacific Northwest follows featuring stops in Mount Vernon (Washington) on June 20, Portland on June 21 and Seattle on June 22. The band ends the month with shows in Calgary on June 23, Evanston (Illinois) on June 29 and Cedarburg (Wisconsin) on June 30.
On July 1 the octet hits Fitzgerald’s American Music Festival in Berwyn, Illinois. Next comes a gig in Montgomery, Alabama on July 8. After a few weeks off the road, the tour resumes in the Midwest for concerts in Grand Rapids on July 20, Cleveland on July 21, Columbus on July 22 and Ferndale (Michigan) on July 23. It’s then back to the West Coast for a set with Rapsody and Keyon Harrold at the Blue Note Jazz Festival in Napa, California on July 29 and show of their own in Reno on July 31.
The Soul Rebels unite with Rakim and Talib Kweli to co-headline Newport Jazz on August 6. Additional August festival appearances follow at San Jose Jazz Summer Fest, Telluride Jazz and the inaugural Catbird Music Festival. September finds the band traversing the Northeast with stops in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; East Greenwich, Rhode Island; Red Bank, New Jersey; Baltimore; Bridgeport, Connecticut; Boston; Woodstock, New York and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Legendary New York City club The Blue Note will host The Soul Rebels from Thursday, September 21 through Sunday, September 24. The band will be joined by special guests with early and late shows planned for each night. Find the full list of dates as well as ticketing links by scrolling below.
