Twiddle are spending the bulk of the year on the road for their Distance Makes The Heart Tour. The band — guitarist Mihali, drummer Adrian Tramontano, bassist Zdenek Gubb and keyboardist Ryan Dempsey — will take a break for “the foreseeable future” at the end of 2023.

“Music has engulfed my life ever since I was 14 years old, and since then I’ve devoted every part of myself to it,” Mihali wrote in a note to fans announcing the hiatus. “Twiddle in particular has been my life’s focus since college, and the band & crew members have been like brothers to me.

“I’ve now come to a crossroads in life where I feel I’m being pulled in many different directions,” added Mihali. “I need to make the right choice for me and for my family. I feel that now is the time to make a much needed change to gain a different perspective on life and focus my creative energy elsewhere.”

Next up for Twiddle are appearances at Weekend At The Cave in Murphysboro, Illinois on Friday, The Peach Music Festival in Scranton, Pennsylvania on June 29 and Buffalo’s Cobblestone Live on July 14. The band then returns to Levitt Pavilion in Connecticut to headline a two-night concert event on July 21 and 22.
