Little Feat’s Boogie Your Summer Away Tour 2023 is underway with Leftover Salmon supporting the first part of the run. Thursday’s concert at the Iroquois Amphitheater in Louisville featured LoS banjo player Andy Thorn joining Little Feat on “Dixie Chicken.”
Little Feat’s current lineup includes longtime members Bill Payne on keyboards, Fred Tackett on guitar, Kenny Gradney on bass and Sam Clayton on percussion, along with guitarist Scott Sharrard and drummer Tony Leone.
While the verified setlist from last night’s show has not been confirmed, audience-shot video footage of Thorn joining on “Dixie Chicken” surfaced. Little Feat recently released deluxe reissues of their albums Sailin’ Shoes, which originally came out in 1972 and Dixie Chicken, which marks the 50th-anniversary of its release this year.
Little Feat’s upcoming Fall Tour 2023 will consist of two-night stands in each city they visit in September and October. On alternating nights, the band will perform Sailin Shoes and Dixie Chicken at each stop of the tour.
