Major League Baseball team the Oakland Athletics will honor late Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia on Friday, August 18. The A’s’ “Jerry Garcia Night” will take place at their home of the Oakland Coliseum on the 18th when they take on the Baltimore Orioles.

Special ticket packages for the night in tribute to the Bay Area musician are on sale now. Each package includes a one-of-a-kind tie-dye T-shirt, exclusive access to a pre-game concert featuring Moonalice and a ticket to the game against the Orioles.

The A’s will donate a portion of each ticket sold through the offer to the Rex Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by the members of the Grateful Dead with family and friends 40 years ago. The Rex Foundation — named after Rex Jackson, a Grateful Dead crew member who tragically passed away in 1976 — gives the band a platform to proactively support creative endeavors in the arts, sciences and education as well as small organizations making an impact in those fields, the environment and social justice.

Stu Allen (Phil Lesh & Friends, Mars Hotel) will perform the National Anthem before the game on August 18. DJ Darkstar Dan will provide in-game jams. Fans can also start the weekend off right with Treehouse Happy Hour on the 18th and every Friday the A’s have a home game. Each Treehouse Happy Hour runs from 4:30 p.m. until the first pitch. Fans can partake in drink specials and games while watching batting practice.
