Watch The John Fogerty Incident Perform Creedence Clearwater Revival Classics At Red Rocks

The String Cheese Incident kicked off a three-night run at Red Rocks in their native Colorado on Friday. Legendary singer-songwriter John Fogerty joined SCI for a set of Creedence Clearwater Revival favorites.

Friday’s second set featured John Fogerty on guitar and vocals, along with his son, Shane Fogerty on guitar and backing vocals. The John Fogerty Incident set began with “Up Around the Bend” and ended with “Fortunate Son.”

Between the opener and closer, SCI and Fogerty delivered one CCR hit after another, dialing up “Green River,” “Lookin’ Out My Back Door,” “Born On The Bayou,” “Effigy,” “Long As I Can See The Light,” “Who’ll Stop The Rain,” “Have You Ever Seen The Rain?” and “Down On The Corner.”

A pair of songs from Fogerty’s solo catalog, the baseball anthem “Centerfield” and “The Old Man Down The Road,” were also part of the collaborative set. Friday’s encore consisted of Fogerty fronting SCI on CCR’s “Bad Moon Rising” and “Proud Mary.”

Friday’s first set featured keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth dressed up as guest keyboardist Karl Washington as part of a gag involving Hollingsworth “sitting-in” at Taylor Swift’s concert that night at Denver’s Mile High Stadium.
