One of the elements that made the inaugural All IN Music & Arts Festival special last year were a pair of “Dreamsets” featuring all-star lineups honoring The Allman Brothers Band and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. This year’s All IN Dreamsets at the festival held at Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis September 9 and 10 will celebrate the music of The Beatles and Led Zeppelin with the lineup and details of the former recently announced.
A collective band of world-class Indiana musicians dubbed the ALL INdy ALLstars will recreate the setlist used by The Beatles when they played the Indiana State Fairgrounds on September 3, 1964 as well as many other Beatles tunes. Superstar special guests will also take part in the Dreamset with surprises planned. Cory Wong, Andy Frasco, Eggy, Karina Rykman, Smiley and Maximillion of The Main Squeeze, Quinn Sullivan and the Butler Brass Allstars, a group of the university’s most talented young students, have been confirmed to appear during the Dreamset.
The ALL INdy ALLstars consists of the Hoosier State’s Doug Henthorn (guitar, vocals), Dane Clark (drums), Troy Kinnett (piano, vocals), Kevin Silva (guitar, vocals) and Jack Taylor (bass, vocals). “I am a proud Hoosier and when I was asked to help assemble a band of artists to celebrate some of the greatest songs in history I was ALL IN,” noted Doug Henthorn in regards to The Beatles Dreamset.
Umphrey’s McGee and Jason Bonham are aboard for the Led Zeppelin Dreamset in which they’ll mix Umphrey’s favorites and Led Zeppelin classics. Both Dreamsets are produced by longtime Bonnaroo Superjam producer Paul Peck.
Tenacious D, Trey Anastasio & Classic TAB, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Greensky Bluegrass are among other acts set to play All IN on September 9 and 10. Grab All IN tickets now via the festival’s website.
