The Black Pumas announced a series of 2024 tour dates in the U.S. cities of Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago and Nashville. News of the group’s first U.S. dates outside their home state of Texas since 2022 arrived with new single “Mrs. Postman.”
Black Pumas, the Austin-based duo led by singer/guitarist Eric Burton and guitarist/producer Adrian Quesada, will play The Fillmore Philadelphia on January 18 and NYC’s Radio City Music Hall on January 19. Digable Planets open in Philadelphia and New York City. The band also confirmed a show at The Salt Shed in Chicago with The Dip on January 27 as well as a two-night stand at legendary Nashville venue The Ryman Auditorium with Courtney Marie Andrews supporting on April 5 and 6.
Tickets for the new U.S. shows go on sale this Friday, September 29 at 10 a.m. local time.

Chronicles Of A Diamond. The long-awaited follow-up to the band’s self-titled 2019 LP arrives via ATO Records on October 27. Black Pumas previously previewed Chronicles Of A Diamond by sharing lead single “More Than A Love Song.”Quesada produced Chronicles Of A Diamond which was primarily mixed by Shawn Everett and features Burton stepping into the co-producer role. Adrian and Eric co-wrote “Mrs. Postman” with keyboardist JaRon Marshall.
“JaRon and I used to get together on afternoons and make hip-hop beats for fun, and ‘Mrs. Postman’ ended up coming out of one of those sessions,” explained Adrian Quesada. “I was partly thinking about how much joy the postmen can bring to people’s lives, but I also wanted to encourage the people in my family and anyone else working a blue-collar job,” added Burton about the inspiration for his lyrics. “I know from firsthand experience how arduous it can be, and I wanted to send a message saying, ‘I still see all the beauty and light in you.’”
