Dogs In A Pile will cap off a year of exponential growth with the band’s first-ever headlining New Year’s Eve run. The fast-rising Asbury Park, NJ jam quintet will wrap up 2023 with a two-night stand at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs, NY on December 30th and 31st.
Though brought up on the Jersey Shore, upstate New York has become a second home for the burgeoning group. In 2023, DIAP headlined shows in Rochester and Ithica, played numerous regional festivals including Twiddle‘s Memorial Meltdown, Catskill Mountain Jubilee, and Adirondack Independence Music Festival, and sold out the 500-capacity Putnam Place back in March. All of this makes for an extra-sentimental New Year’s Eve run that will mark another historic hurdle for the band to clear.
A pre-sale for tickets to the Dogs In A Pile New Year’s Eve run at Putnam Place begins Wednesday, September 6th at 12 p.m. ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 8th at 12 p.m. local time.
Dogs In A Pile rose to new heights in 2023, starting with their first appearance on Jam Cruise back in January. From there the band has continued to climb through the live music ranks, releasing their second album, Bloom, opening for The Disco Biscuits, proving their national viability with sell-outs in Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Denver, and so much more.

The band—composed of Berklee alumni Jeremy Kaplan (keyboardist), Brian Murray (guitarist), and Sam Lucid (bassist) and long-time Jersey Shore musicians Jimmy Law (guitarist) and Joey Babick (drums)—also generated plenty of word-of-mouth buzz with memorable sets at major festivals including Summer Camp Music Festival, Dark Star Jubilee, an Electric Forest set featuring a guest spot from Goose‘s Jeff Arevalo, and a set at The Peach Music Festival in front of their largest crowd to date.
Prior to the New Year’s Eve run, Dogs In A Pile will head out on a 41-date tour starting in Madison, WI on Wednesday. The tour includes several shows supporting Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Andy Frasco & The U.N. See below for a full list of tour dates and visit the band’s website for tickets.
