Dopapod has shared a new live album featuring a curated selection of jams performed in Colorado, and unlike all of the band’s previous albums (excluding 2019’s Live at the Capitol Theatre), the title is not a palindrome, but don’t worry, it’s still a play on words: Coloradopapod.
Culled from the band’s archive of live recordings from the last few years and mixed by the group’s front of house sound engineer, Nathan Teikari, Coloradopapod features eight live tracks, all but the first and last of which exceed ten minutes in length. Dopapod acknowledged that the band “wanted to keep the album in a listenable length range,” adding, “maybe we’ll release a volume 2.”
“We handpicked some of our favorite jams from the last few years of Colorado shows. Found some gems,” the band wrote in a social media post announcing the album’s release. “Our FOH engineer @nathanteikari gave these recordings a beautiful little makeover, so take a listen and enjoy some high quality live Dopapod music!”
Dopapod will return to the road this month before linking up with TAUK for a joint tour in October. Click below for a full list of tour dates, and visit the band’s website for more info and to purchase tickets.
