[UPDATE 5/30/24]: Phish has announced a number of new details about its summer 2024 festival, Mondegreen, due to take place August 15th–18th, 2024 at The Woodlands in Dover, DE. Below, read a rundown of the updates including daily schedules, new camping and parking options, and information on daily shuttles from Baltimore, Philly, and Washington, D.C. Scroll down for complete festival details.
Phish Performance Schedule & Map Updates
Per the new announcement, Phish will perform “8 sets across four days.” This marks a break from recent festivals like the three-day Magnaball, when the band played a third “day set” on Saturday, though the addition of a fourth day for Mondegreen means that the band has one more scheduled set than it has at previous festivals.
At Mondegreen, all four days will look relatively similar: the band’s two-set shows will start at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with Sunday scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. start time. The official schedule does not mention any additional performances by the band during the festival (it never does), but it’s worth noting that additional “secret” sets have always been a part of the Phish festival experience.
Other schedule updates include the opening time for the campgrounds (Wednesday, August 14th, 8:00 a.m.) and the festival grounds (Thursday, August 15th, 12:00 p.m.) in addition to details on the Foundation Lounge (which opens when the venue opens each day and closes 1 hour after the music ends each night). Get more details on the schedule here. The updated map is available to view here.
Phish Mondegreen Single Day Passes, Tent-Only Camping, Foundation Details
By popular demand, a GA Tent-Only Camping option has been added to the ticketing options. Those who already have GA Car Camping and are interested in ditching their vehicle should check their email for instructions on how to do so. For those who can’t make it for all four days, Single Day General Admission passes are also being added. Access the concert venue and visit the GA campgrounds for a day. Single Day General Admission Passes do not include camping privileges. Single Day Passes and GA Tent-Only Camping passes go on sale Thursday, June 6th at 12 p.m. ET.
Supporters of the Waterwheel Foundation can now purchase a Foundation Pass, granting access to the Foundation Lounge for a day enjoying the Foundation viewing platform, an air-conditioned lounge, food including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, a cash bar, additional shaded seating, the Waterwheel raffle, limited merchandise shopping opportunities, A/C restrooms, and on-site host, access to an express entry lane at each concert venue entrance, and one numbered mini-print.

[UPDATE 1/16/23]: Phish has revealed the details for its first festival in nine years, Mondegreen. As previously announced, the four-day festival is set to take place from August 15th–18th, 2024 at The Woodlands in Dover, DE.
The word “mondegreen” means “a misunderstood or misrepresented word or phrase resulting from a mishearing of the lyrics of a song,” a clever choice for a band whose name and often abstract lyrics have been famously misheard and misquoted for decades.
The band’s 11th self-produced festival and first in nine years, Mondegreen will see Phish performing over four days and nights alongside an array of interactive fan experiences, specially curated regional food and drink, art installations, and more.
Delaware’s Woodlands is conveniently located within driving distance from major metropolitan areas on the East Coast, including Philadelphia (under two hours), Baltimore (under two hours), Washington, DC (under two hours), and New York City (under three hours). Fans can also take advantage of Amtrak service to Wilmington, DE as well as SEPTA regional rail.
Phish’s first live performance on a Delaware stage in over two decades, Mondegreen marks the latest and most ambitious installment in a tradition started by the band in 1996 with The Clifford Ball. Held on the decommissioned Plattsburgh Air Force Base in upstate NY, the event influenced a new generation of American rock festivals. Phish celebrated the turn of the millennium with a New Year’s Eve festival at Florida’s Big Cypress Indian Reservation, drawing a record-setting attendance of 80,000 people, playing a historic seven-hour set that lasted through the night.
In 2015, Magnaball marked the second Phish festival to be held at New York’s Watkins Glen International. Phish aimed to host a third festival at Watkins Glen with 2018’s Curveball, but the festival was canceled at the last minute due to a freak weather event affecting the turbidity of the local water supply.

Mondegreen is far from the only buzz-worthy highlight on the upcoming Phish tour schedule. Next month, the band will return to Riviera Maya, Mexico for another sold-out destination event. In April, Phish will become just the second band to mount a run of shows at the recently opened, state-of-the-art Sphere entertainment arena in Las Vegas, NV.
Travel packages for Phish’s Mondegreen go on sale this Thursday, January 18 at 11 a.m. ET. Weekend passes and camping go on sale this Friday, January 19 at 11 a.m. ET. For complete details on passes, car and RV camping and parking options, on-site glamping accommodations, travel packages, and more, visit the festival website here.

[9/12/23]: Phish will set up camp at The Woodlands in Dover, Delaware from August 15th–18th, 2024 for its first curated festival since 2015’s Magnaball.
The band announced the news with a “save the date” message posted to social media on Tuesday. Per the announcement, the as yet unnamed “next Phish festival” will offer camping, Glen Close and travel packages, with details to come later this fall. For updates on the festival as they become available, sign up for the new Phish Update SMS text list here.
Phish festivals are a storied part of the band’s four-decade history. Beginning with 1996’s The Clifford Ball, Phish has successfully hosted ten official camping festivals in various locations around the country, often featuring added production surprises, secret sets, and other extracurricular activities.
The band’s planned eleventh festival, 2018’s Curveball, was infamously canceled just hours before it was due to begin at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, NY due to a freak water turbidity situation. Read our requiem for the Curveball that almost was here. You can also brush up on your Phish fest history here.
Music fans may know the 105-acre Woodlands of Dover Motor Speedway grounds as the longtime site of Firefly, the pop festival that has drawn an average of 50,000 fans per year over the course of its ten-year run. The event took 2023 off, though organizers stated that they intend to bring Firefly back in 2024.
Phish recently completed its 2023 summer tour with a four-night stand at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Up next for Trey Anastasio, Jon Fishman, Page McConnell, and Mike Gordon is a brief run of October 2023 dates featuring multi-night stops in Nashville, TN (10/6, 10/7, 10/8), Dayton, OH (10/10, 10/11), and Chicago, IL (10/13, 10/14, 10/15). Mark your calendars, kids! Phish festival, summer of 2024! See you in Delaware.
