The Las Vegas Sphere celebrated its highly anticipated opening night on Friday with the first night of U2: UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere, which was preceded by a star-studded pre-show.

Among the celebrities on the black carpet ahead of the concert were Bryan Cranston, Dakota Fanning, Diplo, Elizabeth Banks, Jon Hamm, Luke Wilson, and many more, but the true star of the evening was the venue itself. After ogling the exosphere since its debut on the Fourth of July, audiences finally got their first look at the Sphere’s interior, including its atrium and the technologically ground-breaking main hall, with its state-of-the-art beamforming audio, immersive 4D technology, and 16K x 16K resolution LED screen that wraps up, over, and around the audience.

Photos and videos posted to social media show just how wild the concert looked, though with all the incredible technology packed into the Sphere, including Aura, the guest-greeting robot, you’ll have to experience it for yourself to fully appreciate it.

Check out fan-shot clips from opening night at The Sphere in Las Vegas featuring U2 below. The band is set to play a 25-date residency running through December (head here for tickets). U2 is still the only band so far confirmed to play the venue, but CEO James Dolan was reportedly in talks with Madison Square Garden-favorite jam band Phish about booking a residency. For more information about Sphere, visit the venue website.
