Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio brought the classic TAB configuration of the Trey Anastasio Band to West Virginia State Fairgrounds in Lewisburg, West Virginia to perform at this year’s Healing Appalachia. Singer-songwriter Tyler Childers was also on Saturday’s lineup and was joined by Anastasio during his headlining set.
Healing Appalachia is a three-day music festival that raises funds for Hope In The Hills, a local organization whose mission is to “[raise] funds and awareness to combat opioid addiction through a wide array of projects and programs from youth prevention, healthy lifestyles and wellness to recovery houses and recovery to work.”

After performing his set, Trey Anastasio joined Tyler Childers on electric guitar for a cover of the Charlie Daniels song, “Trudy.” Childers regularly places “Trudy” in his setlists, while Anastasio and TAB have been known to cover “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” by the Charlie Daniels Band.
