Members of Tea Leaf Green, Billy & The Kids and The Mother Hips will perform under the moniker The Electric Tea Leaf Kids at Cellarmaker Brewing’s Berkeley location on Saturday, October 28. Both The Electric Tea Leaf Kids and openers Boca do Rio will provide the music for a celebration of Cellarmaker’s 10th anniversary.
The Electric Tea Leaf Kids consists of bassist/guitarist Reed Mathis (Billy & The Kids, Electric Beethoven, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey), keyboardist Trevor Garrod (Tea Leaf Green), drummer Scott Rager (Tea Leaf Green) and bassist Brian Rashap (The Mother Hips). Mathis was Garrod and Rager’s TLG bandmate from 2007 through 2016.
Cellarmaker Brewing Company hails from San Francisco and keep batches small and carefully curated to provide the optimal craft brew with an ever-evolving lineup of beers. The company has kept distribution local to allow the brewers to eschew the typical pattern of a set production schedule to constantly experiment. The San Francisco location also serves acclaimed detroit-style pizza. Additional taprooms are situated in Oakland and Berkeley. The latter, on 940 Parker Street, will host the 10th anniversary celebration.
The beer lineup for the party includes 10 Year Anniversary Barleywine, 10 Year Anniversary Pale Ale, collaborations with Green Cheek, Highland Park, Wondrous and Alvarado Street Brewery as well as vintage kegs. The Electric Tea Leaf Kids will perform a one-time only show.
