Guitarist Brad Barr and drummer Andrew Barr of The Slip and The Barr Brothers will join Billy & The Kids for their upcoming Daze Of The Dead concerts in California. The pair will be part of Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann‘s ensemble on Tuesday, October 31 (Halloween) at Mountain Winery in Saratoga and then again on Thursday, November 2 (Day Of The Dead) at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, California.

Brad and Andrew Barr also played in the band for Billy & The Kids’ first Daze Of The Dead concerts at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York last Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21. The core group features Kreutzmann on drums along with bassist Reed Mathis, keyboardist Aron Magner and guitarist Tom Hamilton.

Billy & The Kids’ Daze Of The Dead Pt. 2 shows will be their first performances in California since 2016. Tickets for both concerts are on sale now through AXS.com. While the Halloween show will be livestreamed from Mountain Winery with an announcement coming soon, the Day Of The Dead show will not be broadcast from Santa Barbara Bowl.

“Daze of the Dead continues next week in California – and we have a little trick for your treat. Immediately after our final bow at the Cap last weekend, I was so excited that I invited Brad and Andrew Barr (@thebarrbrothers) to stay on through California,” Kreutzmann wrote on his social feeds. “They said yes.”

“Now it’s your turn. You’re up, but are you in? We’ll be at the @mountainwinery in the Bay Area on Halloween (Tuesday, 10/31) and at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Day of the Dead (11/02), as we raise the spirit of the Grateful Dead. Costumes encouraged,” Kreutzmann added. Both shows have an early start time and will end by 10 p.m.
