Alt-pop artist Caroline Polachek has released a new single called ‘Dang’, her first piece of new music since the acclaimed album Desire, I Want To Turn Into You arrived in early 2023. The track, a glitchy, propulsive hyperpop cut, was produced by Polachek alongside longtime collaborator Danny Harle and Cecile Believe (who’s worked with SOPHIE and Dorian Electra).

In typical Caroline fashion, she introduced ‘Dang’ to the world with a fairly bonkers performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, leading the audience through a nonsense Ted Talk. Watch it all unfold below.

The singer will be heading to Australia in a matter of months to headline Meredith Music Festival, and play a smattering of headline dates around the country. She’ll kick things off at the Sydney Opera House on Monday, 4th December, with shows following at the Enmore Theatre, at the Forum, and at the Tivoli in Brisbane.

Polachek was named as a headliner of Meredith alongside Kraftwerk, AlvvaysFlowdanAlex G and Eris Drew & Octa Octa. The festival will take place in Meredith, Victoria, from Friday, 8th to Sunday, 10th December.
