To commemorate the band’s upcoming 30th anniversary, Gov’t Mule has announced the 30 Years Strong Tour for February 2024.
The 13-date tour will kick off on February 8th in Vancouver, BC and conclude in Houston on February 25th after making stops throughout the West Coast and Texas, including Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Oakland, Las Vegas, Tucson, Albuquerque, Austin, San Antonio, and more.
“Hard to believe it’s been 30 years and Gov’t Mule is playing with a newfound energy. Thanks, in part, to our new bass player, Kevin Scott, who is doing a fantastic job,” said Warren Haynes. “It’s going to be fun delving into our past for this tour while creating new music at the same time.”
Tickets for the newly announced 30 Years Strong Tour will be available via a fan club presale from Wednesday, October 11th at 10 a.m. local time through Thursday, October 12th at 10 p.m. local time. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 12th at 10 a.m. local time.
Gov’t Mule also announced plans to release a special limited-edition vinyl EP, Time Of The Signs, for RSD Black Friday on November 24th. Previously available exclusively with the Deluxe Edition CD of the band’s latest studio album, Peace…Like A River, the EP includes four new songs along with an alternate rendition of the album track “The River Only Flows One Way” featuring Haynes on lead vocals.
“This EP, aptly titled Time Of The Signs, is made up of four additional songs that were written and recorded during the sessions for Peace…Like A River,” said Haynes. “But these four songs seemed to belong together in the same way that the original 12 on the album belong together, so we decided to make a companion piece. The EP also includes a different version of ‘The River Only Flows One Way,’ which could have gone either way (no pun intended).”
Gov’t Mule is currently wrapping up its Peace…Like A River World Tour, with dates remaining in the South and Europe. The band has plans to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a run in Philadelphia and New York and will host Island Exodus 14 in Jamaica in January.
