After celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band’s 2003 album It Still Moves at New York’s Beacon Theatre over the weekend, My Morning Jacket worked its way up to Boston, MA for a show at Roadrunner on Tuesday.
Madi Diaz once again opened the show and returned to the stage during MMJ’s set to sit in on “Thank You Too!”. The set opened with “Touch Me I’m Going to Scream” parts one and two and included other fan favorites like “Mahgeetah”, from It Still Moves, though the band did not recreate the album in full like on the first night of the Beacon Theatre run. The band capped the evening with a three-song encore featuring “At Dawn”, “Wordless Chorus”, and culminating with It Still Moves standout “Dancefloors”.

My Morning Jacket’s fall tour continues next week with stops in the South, including a Halloween show in New Orleans, before heading to the Midwest in November. Two It Still Moves 20th-anniversary shows remain on the tour. The band also has plans to host its One Big Holiday concert vacation in Mexico with The War on Drugs, Courtney Barnett, Futurebirds, Shabazz Palaces, and more in April.
