Following a successful 2023 debut, Sick New World will return to Las Vegas in 2024 to once again celebrate 2000s nu-metal culture. The lineup is once again topped by System Of A Down, alongside a loaded roster of artists including Slipknot, A Perfect Circle, Alice In Chains, Primus, and many more.
Set for April 27th, 2024 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, Sick New World will take place at the same home as the When We Were Young Festival which began ushering in this ongoing wave of ’90s and ’00s nostalgia last year. With three straight sold-out editions of the single-day festival, WWWY also proved the profitability of appealing to aging millennials.
For Sick New World, nu-metal originators top the bill which also includes heavy acts like Bring Me The Horizon, Swans, Lamb of God, Knocked Loose, Spiritbox, and more. The 2024 edition will see increased genre diversity, with slowcore and shoegaze acts like Slowdive, Duster, and Drop Nineteens providing a stylistic foil to some of the harder-hitting acts. Famed composer Danny Elfman will also present one of his rare live performances meshing his unparalleled body of orchestral work with selections from his days in Oingo Boingo and his 2021 solo album Big Mess.
The rest of the Sick New World lineup is rounded out by Loathe, Kittie, Helmet, Kublai Khan TX, Killing Joke, Drain, Vein, Killing Joke, Code Orange, Sunami, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, Front Line Assembly, Have A Nice Life, Fleshtwater, 3TEETH, Incendiary, Superheaven, Trash Talk, Better Lovers (members of Every Time I Die and The Dillinger Escape Plan), Static Dress, Zulu, Fury, Gel, Spy, and more.
A pre-sale for tickets to Sick New World 2024 begins Friday, October 13th at 10 a.m. PT. Sign up here and check out the full lineup below.
