After generating buzz with thrilling live performances across the country over the past year, Squeaky Feet is finally ready to make its full-length debut with Cause For Alarm. The first album from the Denver prog-rock band arrives November 17th.

Squeaky Feet boldly announced Cause For Alarm on Friday with the lead single “Tunnel Vision”, which features Snarky Puppy guitarist Mark Lettieri. The sprawling, nearly eight-minute composition touches on the range of styles that make Squeaky Feet one of the most unique up-and-coming live acts around, bridging video-game prog and hair-raising metal with compelling grooves. The virtuosic Lettieri coalesces with six-stringers Colin Shore and Greg King to form a holy trinity of unified precision, with drummer Kevin D’Angelo and bassist Jimmy Finnegan holding down complex syncopated rhythms with ease. Meanwhile, keyboardist Brian Keller provides the last bit of necessary fuel to blast the track off into space with his interstellar synths.

“We’ve poured our hearts and souls into Cause For Alarm, and it’s been an incredible journey,” Shore said of the upcoming album. “Having Mark Lettieri play on ‘Tunnel Vision’ was a treat for us. Lettieri’s music, both as a solo artist and with Snarky Puppy, was a large part of the inspiration for the tune. The solo section that he played on was even inspired by a particular guitar solo I saw him play live at a show several years back.”

Cause For Alarm compiles ten of Squeaky Feet’s ambitious compositions into an 80-minute auditory onslaught. In addition to the group’s breadth of stylistic side quests, Squeaky Feet’s diverse influences are heard throughout the album, with inspiration drawn from the likes of King CrimsonFrank ZappaSteely Dan, Snarky Puppy, and many more.

Squeaky Feet will continue to bolster its live reputation this fall on a run of 11 tour dates with Magic BeansSpace Bacon, and DIZGO. The mini-tour will culminate on November 18th with an album release show at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in the band’s adopted hometown of Denver. Squeaky Feet will then finish out its year with a five-show swing through the Midwest in December.
