The National’s European Fall Tour rolled into Spain on Wednesday. The concert at Madrid’s WiZink Center saw the band dusting off “Slipping Husband” for the first time in 17 years.

The bust out came roughly halfway through the group’s 29-song concert. “Slipping Husband” appears on The National’s 2003 sophomore album Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers. The record marked the first with multi-instrumentalist Bryce Dessner, twin brother of the band’s Aaron Dessner, as a full-time member.

The National had not played the Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers cut since October 26, 2006 in Washington D.C. As the band broke out the song there was an audible reaction from the crowd. Frontman Matt Berninger then lead the way through the tune in his trademark baritone alongside driving complimentary guitar work from the Dessner brothers.
