For the fourth time, David Guetta has been named the top DJ in the world, hitting the number one spot in DJ Mag‘s new poll. Last year, Guetta was pipped at the post by Martin Garrix. Guetta has released a delighted statement in response to the win, in which he highlights the joy of topping the poll for a different reason each time.

“It’s incredible,” Guetta said. “You know, the two previous times were probably thanks to Future Rave. This time is probably thanks to ‘I’m Good’ and those big crossover records. I love that I can express different feelings in different ways.”

David Guetta – ‘I’m Good’

‘I’m Good (Blue)’ was released in 2022, and featured the American singer Bebe Rexha – it later appeared on Rexha’s self-titled third studio album. The song had been in the bag for a long time before its official release, but it took a sudden moment of TikTok virality for Rexha and Guetta to release it as a stand-alone single. The song topped the charts in 22 countries, and its viral saturation is – as Guetta himself highlights – a big reason why the French DJ is back in the popular consciousness.

Other heavy hitters in the DJ Mag top ten include Garrix, Alok, Armin Van Buuren, as well as South Korean DJ and producer Peggy Gou, one of just two women in the top 20. Fred again.. made the list for the first time – at number 34.
