Green Day will embark on an extensive 2024 global stadium tour next summer both in support of their forthcoming Saviors album and celebrating the 30th and 20th anniversaries of the band’s 1994 LP Dookie and 2004 record American Idiot respectively. The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas signed on to open for the trio at all North American The Saviors Tour dates.
Saviors, the group’s 14th studio album, is due out via Reprise/Warner Records on January 19. Green Day — frontman/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool — previously released the LP’s lead single “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and today issued Saviors track “Look Ma, No Brains!.”
The Saviors Tour starts with a run through Europe spanning May 30 through June 19. Next comes UK dates from June 21 until June 29. Then, a North American leg begins on July 29 and ends on September 28.
“We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together. So let’s thrash. We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!” proclaimed Green Day. Look for the three-piece to play 30 years of hits alongside songs from Saviors.
Green Day, The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas kick off the North American portion of the tour with a concert at Nationals Park in Washington D.C. on July 29. August stops include New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Hershey (Pennsylvania), Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Charlotte, Atlanta and Nashville. The Saviors Tour wraps at San Diego’s Petco Park on September 28 after additional September concerts in Pittsburgh, Detroit, Denver, Austin, Arlington (Texas), Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland (Oregon).
A series of presales are slated for the week of Monday, November 6. General on-sales start on Friday, November 10 at 10 a.m. local time. Buy Green Day tickets via Ticketmaster.com.
