The concert celebrating the life of saxophonist James Casey is set to livestream via Fans.live. Proceeds from the livestream and show at Brooklyn Bowl on November 6 will benefit the Colorectal Cancer Alliance (CCA) and Association of Black Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists (ABGH).

James Casey sadly died on August 28, 2023 at the age of 40 following a two-year battle with colon cancer. The Late Show With Stephen Colbert bandleader and Casey collaborator Louis Cato will curate the event alongside Raydar Ellis who will spin some of James’ favorite songs throughout the event. A wide range of artists Casey collaborated with will “be represented onstage throughout the evening,” as per a press release.

To help raise money for Casey’s cause of bringing attention to colorectal health, commemorative merchandise including James Casey t-shirts, hoodies, beanies, enamel pins, posters are available online now at Relix Marketplace and will also be available at the show.

Additional merch includes limited-edition flat brim snapback and bucket hats by Grassroots California Casey designed before his passing. The hats will be available at Brooklyn Bowl and online at Grassroots beginning November 3. A limited number of Casey’s 2022 holiday EP, A Little Something for Everyone, will be on sale at the show as well.

In person tickets for the November 6 concert at Brooklyn Bowl are available for purchase. For those who can’t make it, livestreams can be purchased on a donate-what-you-want basis via Fans.live. Click below for more info on the James Casey celebration of life concert.
