Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit tacked on well over a dozen new tour dates to their first North American tour of 2024. The extensive headlining trek is now slated to run from January 17 through May 3 and will be followed by slots opening for Zach Bryan at U.S. stadiums next summer.
A press photo accompanying the announcement (see above) seems to indicate bassist Anna Butterss will continue to hold down the role for the 2024 tour. The rest of the lineup for Jason Isbell‘s band features longtime members guitarist Sadler Vaden, keyboardist Derry DeBorja and drummer Chad Gamble as well as more recent addition multi-instrumentalist Will Johnson. Founding 400 Unit bassist Jimbo Hart has been on a hiatus from the road. “I’m taking some time to take care of my mental health and resolve some old-school traumas,” Hart wrote last June in a since deleted note on Twitter/X.
Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit launch the massive trek with shows in Springfield, Missouri on January 17 and Lawrence, Kansas on January 18. February dates announced today include stops in Wilmington, North Carolina; Baltimore; Williamsport, Pennsylvania; Portland, Maine; Rochester and Chicago.
The band starts their March with the second of two nights at Chicago’s The Salt Shed on March 1. It’s then off to St. Paul, Minnesota for a two-night stand at the Palace Theatre. Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit also confirmed new March dates in Duluth, Minnesota; Des Moines, Iowa; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Pittsburgh; Evansville, Indiana and Atlanta. The Tabernacle will host the band from March 28 – 31. A gig in Le Vista, Nebraska on May 1 has also been added to the tour.
Palehound, Joan Shelley, Tommy Prine, , Autumn Nicholas and Jobi Riccio will each open select shows. Tickets for the new Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit 2024 tour dates go on sale this Friday, November 10 at 10 a.m. local time. Find ticketing links and the full routing below:
