My Morning Jacket stopped at Atlanta’s Fox Theater over the weekend for a two night run with the first show dedicated to celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band’s 2003 album It Still Moves.
Friday’s show was the penultimate It Still Moves 20th anniversary show of the tour. The band previously played the album in full on the first nights of runs at Red Rocks and Beacon Theatre, and will do so once more on the first night of the group’s tour-closing run in Chicago.
The show consisted of a full recreation of the 12-track album, plus a six-song encore featuring It Still Moves outtake “Grab a Body”, which recently received its live debut at Beacon Theatre, and the Bonnaroo 2004 version of “Phone Went West” to close the show.
Friday also included an opening set from Devon Gilfillian, who also served as support on Saturday’s and sat in with MMJ during the band’s headlining set on the song “Only Memories Remain”.
Saturday also featured the first show-opening “Honest Man” since 2000, the tour debut of “Aluminum Park”, and a four-song encore capping off the weekend with “Touch Me I’m Going to Scream Pt. 1” and “Wordless Chorus”.

Just one It Still Moves 20th anniversary show remains on My Morning Jacket’s fall tour, which stops in St. Louis, MO this week before concluding with three nights in Chicago. The band also has plans to host its One Big Holiday concert vacation in Mexico with The War on Drugs, Courtney Barnett, Futurebirds, Shabazz Palaces, and more in April.
