On Wednesday, Lukas Nelson + POTR played a show at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium while the CMAs were being broadcast from nearby Music City venue Bridgestone Arena. Lukas Nelson and company assembled an impressive trio of backing singers in Lana Del Rey, Nikki Lane and Meg McRee to accompany them on “Find Yourself” at The Ryman.
The emphatic “Find Yourself” was originally released by Lukas Nelson And POTR on their self-titled fourth studio album in 2017. Lady Gaga contributed to the studio version as well as Lukas Nelson And Promise Of The Real track “Set Me Down On A Cloud.”
“Found ourselves at [The Ryman] last night… found these talented ladies too and asked them to join us!,” wrote Lukas on Instagram after the concert. “Thank you to [Lana Del Rey], [Nikki Lane], [Meg McCree], and everyone who came out to the show for making last night amazing!”
Lukas Nelson And POTR featured selections from their various studio albums throughout their set in Nashvile with a focus on songs from their latest LP, 2023’s Sticks And Stones. Del Rey, Lane and opener McRee came out and shared the stage on the stellar version of “Find Yourself.” The three vocalists took advantage of a break down in the song to harmonize with Lukas. Nelson urged the crowd to sing along and many in the room complied.
