The Disco Biscuits bassist Marc Brownstein, Eggy guitarist Jake Brownstein (no relation), and Marc’s son, drummer Zach Brownstein (Jon Anderson/PGRA), will join forces this winter to form the Brownstein Family Band.
As Marc Brownstein noted in a post announcing the show, “This is one of the most exciting announcements I’ve ever gotten to make! On January 20th at the legendary Nectar’s in Burlington Vermont I will get to perform my first ever full show with my own child, Zach Brownstein! Naturally for this performance we have tapped the rising star from the band [Eggy], Jake Brownstein, because how else to round out the Brownstein Family Band!”
The trio of Brownsteins will assemble in Burlington, VT, where Zach Brownstein spends his time as a student at the University of Vermont. Marc Brownstein and Jake Brownstein are both busy on the road with their respective projects, The Disco Biscuits and Eggy. The two bands have crossed paths at various points this year including at the inaugural Biscoland in October. Both acts are due to perform this weekend at North Beach Music Festival in Miami Beach, FL [watch a free livestream here]. Marc Brownstein, who also performs solo as DJ Brownie, is also due to open for Eggy on December 17th in Richmond, Virginia.
