Comedian Ari Shaffir had an experience familiar to many during his recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience when he found himself drunkenly yelling about how Billy Strings rules.
Shaffir and Rogan were feeling festive with fellow comedians Mark Normand and Shane Gillis during a recent holiday broadcast when Shaffir raised his glass—which was actually an angel Christmas tree topper turned upside down—and announced, “I’d like to say one thing. I’m here for America [and] I think Danny Brown and Billy Strings should do a duet together.”
When Joe Rogan asked, “Who?” Shaffir went on to say, “Billy Strings and Danny Brown, I think if they did a duet together it’d be the number one hit in America.”
“What makes you think that, Ari?” Rogan responded.
“Because Billy Strings rules and Danny Brown rules, and I think they’re opposite f–king genres and if they got together, no one would be against it.”
Mark Norman then chimed in, “Who’s Billy Strings?” which provoked an impassioned response from Shaffir: “Billy Strings f–king rules, dude!”
At the end of the clip, Shaffir addresses Strings and Danny Brown, saying, “Get it together boys! Do something good for society!”

A Danny Brown x Billy Strings collaboration may be unlikely—a collaboration with Post Malone would be slightly more probable, and one with Les Claypool is allegedly in the works—but what might be even better and more easily arranged by Ari Shaffir would be an appearance on the JRE. After all, he does f–king rule, dude.
