The newest show on late-night television, After Midnight, premiered on Tuesday with a funky theme song composed by none other than guitarist/producer extraordinaire Cory Wong.
Hosted by comedian and late-night newcomer Taylor Tomlinson, the program is billed as “the smartest show on TV about the dumbest things on the internet” and features a panel of three comedians answering questions and participating in games based on trending internet content.

The show debuted at 12:37 a.m. (technically Wednesday morning) on CBS following The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Like Colbert, which employs a top-notch house band led by Louis Cato, After Midnight has a soundtrack music fans are sure to appreciate, including an infectious theme song composed by Cory Wong.
“stoked to have written the theme song and other music for this new show!” Wong wrote in an Instagram post before the show’s premiere, with everyone from musical funnyman Tom McGovern to drummer Nate Smith chiming in in the comments with words of congratulations.

The song blends the kind of big and polished pumped-up sound that one might expect from a network game show theme with the irresistibly groovy funk fans of Wong know and love.
