For the first time in five years, progressive funk powerhouse Kung Fu will return to the road for a rare run of shows around the band’s old Northeast stomping grounds dubbed the Kung Fu Rides Again Tour 2024.
Beginning at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs, NY on April 11th, Tim Palmieri (guitar), Adrian Tramontano (drums/percussion), Robert Somerville (sax), Beau Sasser (keyboards), and Chris DeAngelis (bass) will head to the band’s home state of Connecticut for a show at The Warehouse at FTC in Fairfield on the 12th before continuing on to Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, MA on the 13th. The run is set to conclude at Nectar’s in Burlington, VT on April 14th.

The shows will mark Kung Fu’s first Northeast run since 2019. Since then, the band members have stayed busy, with Tim Palmieri joining Lotus and Adrian Taramontano playing drums with Twiddle until the start of the band’s current hiatus, and now with frontman Mihali Savoulidis‘ solo project. Kung Fu recently played its annual Toys for Tots benefit show at Bridgeport’s Park City Music Hall.
