Beloved New Orleans exports Tank and the Bangas have announced a three-night run of intimate hometown performances during the second weekend of Jazz Fest 2024. The extended run of shows at New Orleans, LA’s Toulouse Theatre, set to take place on Thursday, May 2nd, Friday, May 3rd, and Saturday, May 4th, will feature nightly headlining performances by the Grammy-nominated Crescent City outfit in addition to support from DJ Zeus (5/2), Alfred Banks (5/3), and HaSizzle (5/4) [get ticketing info].
Since rising to prominence with their winning entry in the 2017 NPR Tiny Desk Contest, Tank and the Bangas have continued to expand their profile as one of the most thrilling, unpredictable, and sonically diverse bands on the planet. Frontwoman Tarriona “Tank” Ball‘s spoken word storytelling and joyously expressive delivery lend an enchanting ambiance to the band’s music, which melts down elements of jazz, hip-hop, soul, rock, R&B, funk, and more into a unique elixir for the ears, heart, and soul.

The three-night engagement by Tank and the Bangas marks the latest addition to Live For Live Music‘s annual Fest by Nite event series during New Orleans Jazz Fest. Previously announced shows include Lettuce at The Joy Theater (5/3) and the return of the two-day Daze Between New Orleans at Faubourg Brewery (4/30–5/1).
