What makes the GoPro Max unique is that it has a dual-lens camera that lets it get a 360-degree view. This creates the aforementioned fish-eye effect that many creators seem to love. It also works great when creating video for VR headsets. On a regular screen, it’ll output a 16:9 image.
For those who are big on creating content on the go, the GoPro Max enables livestreaming video, has a strong stabilizer to prevent shaky footage, and has the best microphone of any GoPro. The GoPro Max is perfectly tailored for bloggers and social media creators, but being a creator is certainly not a requirement for owning one. The software tools for the 360 footage are user-friendly, and the camera has a touchscreen to maneuver between settings. While the 360 view is cool, it won’t offer the best resolution.
